Olsson Receives Highest Honor from Best Places to Work in Omaha

Omaha, Nebraska (March 29, 2022) – Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm, received the Baird Holm LLP Sustained Excellence Award from Best Places to Work in Omaha, sponsored by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. This is the highest level of recognition given to organizations by Best Places to Work in Omaha for continuous commitment to fostering an engaging workforce.

To be considered for the Sustained Excellence Award, organizations must be ranked in the top three Best Places to Work in Omaha for three consecutive years. Organizations honored for sustained excellence are not eligible to be ranked among the top five best places to work the same year they win the award.

For four consecutive years, Olsson has been recognized as one of the best places to work in Omaha by Baird Holm LLP.

“We are thrilled to honor Olsson as a Sustained Excellence winner,” said Kelli P. Lieurance, partner at Baird Holm LLP and chairperson of Best Places to Work in Omaha. “Since 2018, Olsson has consistently ranked in the top five in the 200-plus employer category. This is a tremendous achievement on its own, but considering that several of those rankings were during the COVID-19 pandemic, this achievement is particularly impressive. Where many organizations saw employees disengage from their workplaces during the pandemic, Olsson’s employees thrived.”

Olsson has more than 320 employees based in the Omaha area who primarily work out of the firm’s Aksarben Village or La Vista offices.

Building and maintaining a strong company culture is important at Olsson. Employees are at the heart of every decision the company makes.

“We often say we exist first and foremost for our employees, and we mean what we say,” said Shane Hennessey, Olsson’s Omaha office leader. “Our goal is to create an environment where our employees are valued and have opportunities to grow professionally and personally so they can then provide innovative solutions that help improve the communities we serve.”

Olsson will receive the Sustained Excellence Award during the Best Places to Work in Omaha Awards Luncheon on May 26 at the CHI Health Center.
