A recreational hub for all ages and abilities

Parks bring opportunities for play, adventure, and community. That was missing on the west side of Rogers, Arkansas. But not anymore.

We helped transform 72 acres of open space into a one-of-a-kind park that opened in 2024. Mount Hebron Park features trails, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, a baseball field, a lake, and a community center. The park also boasts the largest accessible playground in the state.

“People really love the park. It’s a great amenity and people come from pretty far to enjoy the space.”

“Mount Hebron is in an area that didn’t have direct access to a park before,” said Matt Loos, our site design leader and a Rogers resident. “The park has become a community center on the west side of town. It hosts all sorts of youth sports and farmers markets, and it has one of the nicest playgrounds in the area.”

With safety in mind, we also expanded the adjacent Garrett Road and added a roundabout and pedestrian and bike trail. Our teams led master planning, landscape architecture, civil and geotechnical engineering, surveying, and construction administration.

Our efforts at the park were recognized as a 2024 top engineering project by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) – Arkansas.

“People really love the park,” Matt said. “It’s a great amenity and people come from pretty far to enjoy the space.”

Visitors may also notice the array of plants and beautified landscape. Mature trees line the park and native prairie can be seen throughout the area.

Matt and the team didn’t forget about furry friends either. They designed dedicated spaces for dogs, so the whole family can enjoy the park.

“My family goes pretty often,” he said. “We have young kids, so there’s a big playground area for them and two dog park areas for our dog. My wife enjoys pickleball with friends too. There’s plenty to do.”

Most see a park. We see a new family adventure. For all ages and all abilities.
