Omaha, Nebraska (February 7, 2022) – Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm, announces that John Bertino has joined the firm as a technical leader for Olsson’s Federal program.
Bertino has more than 41 years of experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and is extremely knowledgeable about federal engineering programs and processes. He will specialize in federal work, working closely with clients and various Olsson teams to support and grow the firm’s federal program.
“John brings a wealth of institutional knowledge from the USACE and will be a great asset to expand our growing federal portfolio,” said Steve Iverson, leader of Olsson’s federal program. “He is an expert with a history of motivating and developing people to execute complex projects all over the country. He will be invaluable to Olsson’s team.”
For the last 16 years, Bertino served as Chief, Engineering Division for USACE Omaha District. In that role, he led nearly 300 engineers and scientists in the execution of a wide variety of complex projects including water resources infrastructure, military facilities and remediation of environmental contamination. Bertino also brings to Olsson 30 years of extensive experience leading, supervising and managing teams.
Bertino will work out of Olsson’s Omaha office. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska.
