Springfield, Missouri (September 12, 2024) – Olsson has been recognized as a 2024 Best Place to Work in the large company category by Biz 417 and Best Companies Group.
In an awards ceremony this week, Olsson was honored as a top company in southwest Missouri, securing the No. 2 spot. The engineering and design firm has about 20 years of rich history in this part of the state.
East Central Geography leader and Springfield native Jared Rasmussen is excited for Olsson's future.
“At Olsson, we’re proud to have employees who want to build up the person next to them and the next person after that because we know we’re better together,” he said. “This recognition wouldn’t be possible without our incredible employees. We’re honored to be named a Best Place to Work in the area and to continue serving our communities.”
"I can’t wait to build on this momentum and see the growth and accomplishments to come in southwest Missouri."
In southwest Missouri, Olsson’s project involvement has included designing the Betty & Bobby Allison Sports Town, recovering Joplin’s Main Street and rebuilding Mercy Hospital after the city's devastating 2011 EF5 tornado and updating an aviation readiness center for the Missouri National Guard.
“I can’t wait to build on this momentum and see the growth and accomplishments to come in southwest Missouri,” Rasmussen said.
In Missouri, Olsson has offices in Springfield, Joplin, Kansas City and St. Louis.
Best Companies Group analyzed survey results across 25 counties. The survey measured the following: leadership and planning; culture and communications; role satisfaction; working environment; relationship with supervisor; training, development and resources; pay and benefits and overall engagement.
There is no cost to participate in the Top Workplaces survey and companies were selected based solely on employee feedback. Best Companies Group tabulated survey results and required 40 percent participation from companies with more than 25 employees.
