We are a partner in a joint venture selected for project work under a potential $20 million federal contract to evaluate railroads and roadways at U.S. military installations across the globe.
In 2022, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District named a joint venture between Stanley Consultants and Olsson as one of five teams to participate in the worldwide rail and roadway contract. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract runs for a period of five years.
“Delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that help serve the nation aligns perfectly with our firm’s commitment to improve communities,” said Ryan Kosola, who leads Olsson’s Rail program and will serve as project manager for the Stanley Consultants-Olsson Joint Venture. “Olsson also values collaboration and we look forward to working with our partners at Stanley and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.”
Members of our Rail program will deliver design and evaluation services – including design plans, specifications, and design analyses – for railroads at military installations in the U.S. and other countries.
Potential rail work includes design of bridges and specialized railroad support facilities; inspection and maintenance recommendations for railroad tracks and bridges; field and laboratory testing of existing railroad/pavement subgrades; and specialized consulting services and engineering studies related to the planning, design, construction, and evaluation of railroad and vehicular pavements.
Stanley Consultants, headquartered in Muscatine, Iowa, will perform most of the roadway work required for task orders awarded to the joint venture.
“We look forward to supporting the USACE Omaha District now and in the future,” said John Hudson, client service manager for Stanley Consultants.
