The Groundwater Accounting Platform, a data-driven tool co-developed by Olsson, is now available to support sustainable water management throughout California. Previously, the Platform had been in development with several pilot partners in the state.

The Platform can serve water managers and users in California’s water basins by:

• Integrating groundwater supply and usage data from satellite imagery, flow meters, and sensor networks.

• Tracking water budgets at the parcel level.

• Improving decision-making and achieving water management goals across basins or regions.

The Platform is supported through a collaboration of the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), the California Water Data Consortium, Environmental Science Associates (ESA), and Olsson.
