ENR Midwest has recognized Kurt Rotering as a Top Young Professional. Rotering and 19 other standouts in the engineering and design industry were honored for their "commitment to improving practices and outcomes for their firms, using new technologies to make their work more efficient and beneficial to clients, leading sustainability efforts and promoting diversity and equity in both their professional and personal lives." 

Rotering, a senior team leader on Olsson's Transportation group, was noted for his role in writing a SMART (Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation) grant application aimed at improving transportation in Kansas City.
