We are working with the City of Dodge City, Kansas to conduct a comprehensive study of the US-283/US-400/US-56 corridor on the community's east side.
This project aims to develop recommended improvements for the future of this critical transportation corridor, taking into account both future development and existing constraints. The study area encompasses the stretch of US-56/US-283 from east of Airport Road to the Wyatt Earp Boulevard intersection, extending south through the Trail Street/US-400 intersection.
Additionally, the study area includes a 1,000-foot extension west along Wyatt Earp Boulevard and a 1,500-foot extension west along Trail Street to consider existing access points.
It builds upon a previous corridor study along Trail Street that we completed in 2019. Relevant information and data from that study will be utilized as appropriate to inform this current endeavor. This study will ensure a strategic and well-informed approach to the future development of the US-283/US-400/US-56 corridor, balancing growth with the needs and safety of the community.
