Shackelford Named Leader of Olsson’s Colorado Water Teams

DENVER, Colorado (July 29, 2020) – Joshua Shackelford, PE, a senior engineer with more than 18 years of experience designing and planning water infrastructure, recently joined Olsson as leader for the firm’s Colorado Water team. Olsson is a nationally recognized engineering and design firm with offices in Denver and Loveland, Colorado.

As team leader, Shackelford is responsible for planning and overseeing the implementation of an expansion of water resources and water/wastewater services for Olsson’s clients in Colorado.

He has extensive experience in managing, planning, designing and constructing large, complex, multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects for water transmission and wastewater/stormwater collection utilities, dams and their appurtenant structures and pump stations. Olsson will benefit from Shackelford’s expertise in large-diameter pipelines, trenchless technologies and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.

Prior to joining Olsson, Shackelford was a project manager, senior engineer and team leader for an engineering firm in Denver. He also spent six years as a project manager and team leader for one of the largest engineering companies in the United States.

Shackelford earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wyoming. He is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and six other states. He also serves on the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology.
