Olsson Named Lincoln’s Best Place to Work
June 11, 2021
Lincoln, Nebraska (June 11, 2021) – Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm, was named one of Lincoln’s Best Places to Work, a program that identifies the city’s businesses that have created positive work environments for their employees.
Olsson was selected as the top place to work in the extra-large company category (more than 150 employees). This is the third time in four years Olsson has taken the top honor in a category.
“We are honored to be named one of the best places to work in Lincoln because it shows we value our employees and the work they do,” said Jeff McPeak, Olsson’s Lincoln office leader. “We are especially proud to have earned this award this year, given the challenges the pandemic created for our employees in a mostly work-from-home environment. Our firm has been a part of this city’s fabric for 65 years, and we were built on the foundation of hiring talented people who always look out for the well-being of our clients and the communities we serve.”
This is the ninth year of the Best Places to Work in Lincoln competition, which was started by the Woods & Aitken law firm. Olsson has consistently been among the top companies since it began participating in the program. The program is sponsored annually by Woods & Aitken, the Lincoln Journal Star and the Lincoln Human Resource Management Association.
Employees at participating companies complete an online survey, which provides a measure of employee engagement and other workplace factors, including communication and resources; individual needs; manager effectiveness; personal engagement; team dynamics; and trust in leadership.
Winners were selected based on survey results within small, medium, large and extra-large company categories.
