Meet Joel Jirak

Joel Jirak used to spend hours designing and building things with LEGOS. That’s what sparked his interest in engineering, but more so he became interested in the planning and visualizing of the end product – similar to his role at Olsson as a project engineer

During a recent project, Joel was able to oversee a corn field turn into a $12 million, state-of-the-art water treatment facility in about 18 months. He served as the contact between the City of Crete and the contractor, documented daily construction activities, and worked hard to make sure that issues that arose in the field did not become big problems.
