JOPLIN, Missouri (Sept. 5, 2018) – Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm, announces the hiring of Carthage, Missouri, native Rustin (Rusty) Hartman as technical leader for its power transmission and distribution team. The team serves power clients in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The hiring of Hartman allows Olsson to grow its energy practice and better serve clients more effectively in the four-state area.
“Rusty has extensive experience with electric utilities and has a solid reputation in the market,” said Paul Williams, energy program leader at Olsson. “His experience and knowledge of the challenges facing transmission and distribution developers and how we can solve them will elevate our team’s abilities to meet the needs of our clients.”
Hartman spent two years as a national engineering sales manager for an engineering firm that specializes in power solutions before going into business for himself. Prior to that, he worked as a substation engineer for companies in Lamar and Kansas City.
As a technical leader, Hartman will be responsible for managing and growing Olsson’s strategic accounts in the area. He will be based out of Olsson’s office in Joplin, Missouri.
Hartman has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri.
Olsson offers comprehensive design and consulting services in infrastructure, environmental, field services and facilities.
